How to recycle your holiday tree, wreaths, garlands and greens

December 27, 2010 (Bellingham, WA) - SSC Food Plus! Recycling customers can put their trees, wreaths, garlands and other holiday greens into their Food Plus! Recycling Toters (TM). Please remove all ornaments, ribbons and wires before recycling. If your FoodPlus! Recycling Toter (TM) is 1/2 full or less, place your tree (cut into six foot sections or less) in your Toter (TM) for no extra charge.

If your FoodPlus! Recycling Toter (TM) is full, place your tree (cut into six foot sections) next to your Toter (TM) for pick-up. There is an extra pick-up charge of $4 per six foot section or fraction thereof.

SSC Special Pickup: Customers living in the Food Plus! Recycling service area who don't have the service can call and schedule a pick-up when an SSC truck is making its normal rounds. Cost is $4. Call us at 360-734-3490 to arrange pick-up.
