SSC donates $25,000 to New Ferndale Library Project
A long-standing history of family and business giving inspired Paul Razore, CEO of Sanitary Service Company, to contribute $25,000 from SSC to the New Ferndale Library Project. “SSC’s generosity to the community is impressive,” noted Whatcom Community Foundation CEO Mauri Ingram. “It’s clear Paul considers the business to be an integral part of the community as well as a service provider.” SSC, a family owned business, was founded in 1929 by Gus Razore, Paul’s father. Gus Razore passed away in 1978 at the age of 83 and is well-remembered for his contributions to the community.
SSC Acts on Ferndale Library Match
“Libraries are essential. They are part of the foundation of any vibrant community,” said Paul Razore, CEO of Sanitary Service Company. “Libraries serve many important roles. For some, especially kids, a library can be a second home - a safe and relaxing place to go to after school to learn and connect. SSC proudly supports the local communities we serve. We have been part of the Ferndale community for many years and are pleased to be a partner in helping build this new library. I encourage other businesses and residents to join us with their support.”
The mission of the New Ferndale Library Project is to meet the long term needs of the Ferndale community by building a downtown information and education center combining the warmth of a traditional library with state-of-the-art technology: A community living-room where everyone can read, learn, work, meet, and grow.
