4th Quarter 2013 In-House Smart Trips Random Prize Drawing Winner
Bellingham, WA – Congratulations to SSC's Steve Davenport - winner of a $50 Haggen gift card in our 2013 4th Quarter in-house random prize drawing for employees who participate in the Whatcom Smart Trips program. Steve made at least 8 Smart Trips per month in October, November and December.
Now is a great time of year to try bicycling to work, in combo with the bus perhaps! Bicycle to work and qualify for up to $20 per month in bike commuting costs reimbursed as part of the federal government Bicycle Commuter Act. Gloves, tires, a new helmet, or even a cycle commuting class - all can be paid for through an employer-sponsored program.
SSC has been a Smart Trips Employer since 2006. In that time, 23 employees have made over 8,700 Smart Trips (bike, walk, bus, or carpool to work), avoiding over 157,000 car miles. In addition to the prizes Whatcom Smart Trips gives away, SSC employees that make at least 8 Smart Trips per month qualify for in-house prize drawings.
