Recycling Update: 2012-13 Holiday Tree Recycling Options

Bellingham, WA – There are several options for recycling Christmas trees during the 2012-2013 holiday season. Note: Please remove all decorations before recycling. Scouts Tree Recycling Project Saturday, January 5, 2013. Donations accepted. Set trees out by 8AM. Automatic pickup available in Bellingham, Ferndale, Blaine, Lynden and Everson.
People in Birch Bay, Maple Falls and Kendall can request a pickup by calling Phil McAfee, 360-733-1513.
Food Plus! (Year-round Collection) If you subscribe to Food Plus! place your tree inside your Toter® at no extra charge. If your Toter® is full, place your tree next to the Toter®. Charge: $6 per tree (up to 8’ long). Fee will be added to next bill. To sign up for FoodPlus! click here. Curbside Pick-Up (non FoodPlus! customers) Pick-up must be scheduled in advance. Contact us or call 360-734-3490 to schedule collection. Pick-up is on regular FoodPlus! day for your area. Cost: $6 per tree (up to 8' long). Charge it to your account or pre-pay. Bellingham Recycle Center & Transfer Station Trees accepted for recycling. Charge: $6 per tree (up to 8’ long). 1001 Roeder Ave (corner F & Roeder). Hours: M-F 8AM-5PM. Closed major holidays.
