Ask SSC Q. Where can I recycle antifreeze?

A: Dear Greg,

There are a number of places that accept antifreeze for recycling here in Whatcom County:

SSC Cedarville Transfer Station – open Saturdays 9AM-5PM

Cedarville Road

SSC Birch Bay Transfer Station – open Sundays 9AM-5PM

4297 Birch Bay-Lynden Rd

Disposal of Toxics – Weekdays 9AM-4PM

3505 Airport Drive or (360) 380-4640

Some speedy lube/oil businesses may also take household quantities. Inquire direct.

Please note antifreeze is not accepted in our curbside recycling program. For additional questions, please contact us or call 360-734-3490.
